Arequipa Airport – Ruta del Sillar – Quebrada de Culebrillas – Arequipa
Your journey begins with a pickup from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Arequipa. At 8:50 a.m., you’ll head to the Añashuayco Quarry in Cerro Colorado to witness the extraction of sillar, a volcanic stone integral to Arequipa’s architecture. Marvel at the mega-carving of the Church of the Company of Jesus’ façade on a towering stone cliff, an ideal spot for photographs.
The adventure continues with a 20-minute walk through the mystical Quebrada de Culebrillas, where you’ll discover petroglyphs and unique landscapes shaped by wind and water erosion. After the trek, return to Arequipa to rest for the night.

On the return journey, visit scenic viewpoints like Antahuilque and Choquetico, and stop in traditional villages such as Maca and Yanque. Relax in the thermal baths before enjoying lunch in Chivay. Conclude the day with stops at Patapampa (4,910m) for panoramic views of nearby volcanoes and the Aguada Blanca and Salinas Reserve to observe llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Arrive back in Arequipa around 5:00 p.m.
