Lima to Paracas, Ballestas Islands, Natural Reserve & Huacachina Oasis
4:15 AM – Start your journey with a pickup from your hotel or Lima Airport. Travel along the Panamericana Highway in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, reaching Paracas by 7:35 AM.
At 8:00 AM, embark on a speedboat tour to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and countless seabirds. Witness the iconic Candelabra geoglyph, a mysterious figure etched into the desert cliffs.
Following the excursion, enjoy breakfast before continuing to the Paracas National Reserve at 11:00 AM. Explore the reserve’s breathtaking coastal landscapes and learn about the ancient Paracas culture, known for its elongated skulls and red-haired mummies.
At 2:00 PM, drive to Ica, arriving at the Huacachina Oasis by 4:00 PM. Experience the thrill of a dune buggy ride and sandboarding on the massive dunes. After this exhilarating adventure, unwind at your accommodations in Ica for the night.
Overflight Nazca Lines, Cantalloc Aqueducts or Chauchilla Cemetery & Return to Lima
7:00 AM – Depart for Nazca, a 2.5-hour drive from Ica, arriving at the María Reiche Airfield around 9:30 AM.
Take off for a 30-minute flight over the Nazca Lines, where you’ll see geoglyphs such as the Hummingbird, Monkey, Spider, and Astronaut. Learn about these ancient wonders with insights provided by your guide.
After the flight, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Following lunch, visit either the Cantalloc Aqueducts, an engineering marvel of the ancient Nazca civilization, or the Chauchilla Cemetery, where well-preserved mummies reveal fascinating burial practices.
At 2:30 PM, begin the return journey to Lima. Arrive at your hotel or the Lima Airport between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM, marking the end of your incredible tour.
