Lima Airport/Bus Station – Arrival – Transfer to Hotel – City Tour
Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, rest and prepare for your afternoon city tour.
At 3:00 PM, embark on a guided exploration of Lima’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start at the Main Square, surrounded by landmarks such as the Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, and the majestic Cathedral. Visit the Saint Francisco Monastery, known for its religious art and iconic catacombs.
Continue to San Martin Square, admire the exterior of Saint Dominic Convent, and marvel at the historic train station turned palace. Walk along the De la Union Pathway, cross the Rimac Bridge, and enjoy the sight of Lima’s wooden balconies. Conclude with stops at Cordano Bar and the Post Office Palace before returning to your hotel.

Lima – Cusco – Cusco City Tour
Fly to Cusco in the morning, where our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend some time resting and acclimating to the altitude.
In the afternoon, start your guided city tour. Visit the Qorikancha Temple, a sacred Incan site dedicated to Inti, the sun god. Continue to Sacsayhuamán, an imposing fortress with massive stonework, followed by Q’enqo, a ceremonial site, and Tambomachay, known as the Incan Baths. End your tour near the bustling Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s vibrant cultural hub.

Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Cusco – Puerto Maldonado – Lodge Introduction – Jungle Walk
Fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado in the morning. Upon arrival, transfer by land in a 4×4 vehicle for approximately two hours to the Tambopata River. From here, board a boat to the Monte Amazonico Lodge, where you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing fruit juice and a brief orientation. Settle into your room and enjoy a meal (breakfast or lunch, depending on your arrival time).
In the afternoon, embark on an introductory jungle walk led by a local expert. Explore the dense tropical forest and observe a variety of wildlife, including amphibians, mammals, reptiles, and vibrant insects.

El Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick – Kayaking on the Tambopata River
Rise early at 4:30 AM for a thrilling boat journey to the El Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick, the world’s largest macaw clay lick. The 1.5-hour trip provides opportunities to spot wildlife along the riverbanks, such as capybaras, tapirs, and perhaps even the elusive jaguar.
Upon arrival, settle into a viewing spot to witness a spectacular natural phenomenon: hundreds of parrots and macaws of various species flocking to the clay wall to feed. This awe-inspiring sight is a highlight of the Amazon experience.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest. In the afternoon, tour the botanical gardens, where you’ll learn about medicinal plants and native fruit trees of the region. End your day with an adventurous kayaking excursion along the Tambopata River, gliding silently to increase your chances of spotting wildlife.

Monkey Island – Nocturnal Wildlife Search

Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon hike in the surrounding forest. Marvel at towering trees that are over 500 years old and spot a variety of wildlife, including toucans, parrots, and monkeys.
As night falls, embark on a nocturnal wildlife safari along the riverbanks. Equipped with flashlights, search for white alligators resting on sandbanks, as well as capybaras and other nocturnal creatures. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Lake Sandoval Exploration – Night Walk
After breakfast, prepare for an immersive trek through the jungle, walking 3 km to reach Lake Sandoval, one of the largest lakes in the Tambopata National Reserve. Board a rowboat and glide across the calm waters, home to exotic birds like shanshos, jacanas, and cormorants, as well as playful monkeys and sloths. You may also encounter a family of endangered giant otters, which can grow up to two meters long.
Return to the lodge for a delicious Amazonian lunch. In the evening, join a night walk through the dense forest to discover its nocturnal wonders, including insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other creatures that come alive after dark.
