Day 1: From Cusco’s Dawn to the Rainbow Mountain and Pomacanchi Lake
Your adventure begins in the early hours of Cusco, where the city’s gentle morning hum sets the backdrop for an unforgettable journey. At 02:30 am, we embark on a 3-hour drive through the Andean landscapes, offering a prelude to the marvels ahead. Upon arrival at the trailhead, a freshly prepared, nourishing breakfast by our dedicated cook awaits, energizing you for the trek to come.
The ascent to Vinicunca, commencing around 06:00 am, is a mesmerizing trek through a spectrum of natural colors. The Rainbow Mountain’s vibrant hues unfold as a living canvas, inviting you to immerse yourself in its beauty. Spend 30 minutes to an hour atop Vinicunca, embracing the moment for exploration, reflection, and photography.
Descending from the mountain, a culinary celebration in the form of a buffet lunch crafted by our expert cook awaits. The afternoon journey takes us to the tranquil Pomacanchi Lagoon. Here, the evening is spent setting up camp by the water, exploring its serene depths, and sharing stories under a starlit sky.

Day 2: From Pomacanchi Lake to the Ancient Citadel of Waqrapukara

The journey begins from Punta Carretera, weaving through landscapes adorned with high Andean lakes and expansive views. The descent to Waqrapukara is a breathtaking experience, revealing an ancient ceremonial center nestled amidst colossal rock formations.
Exploring Waqrapukara is like traversing through time. Its stone structures and surroundings narrate the tales of ancient civilizations. The descent continues to Huayqui, accompanied by the sight of ancient rock paintings, adding layers of wonder to our journey.
