Choquequirao, often referred to as Machu Picchu’s ‘sister,’ is a marvel of Incan architecture and mystery. Larger than its famous counterpart, yet largely unexcavated, Choquequirao is an enigma waiting to be explored. As you wander through its plazas and temples, marvel at the intricate stonework and terraces adorned with sacred llama figures.
Dining amongst these ancient ruins, your guide will narrate tales of Incan history and mythology, bringing the stones to life. The return to our camp at Marampata is a time for reflection, under a night sky where the Milky Way paints a celestial masterpiece.

As of 2022, camping on Choquequirao terraces is prohibited to protect this heritage site.
